From the time she was 12 years old helping a runaway reunite with her family, the entrepreneur and mother of four, Tami Halton Pardee has inspired hope, courage, and purpose to everyone she meets.
The Life Change Warrior Foundation is the culmination of Tami's own life’s journey, applying what she’s learned
to create a mentorship program focused on positive change to those who need a fresh start.
To-date, Tami's foundation has donated over $1.3 million dollars to local non-profits including the Teen Project, Harvest Home, Homeless Task Force, Safe Place for Youth, Venice Arts, Venice Community Housing Corporation, and West Los Angeles area schools.
In recognition of her efforts as both a women business owner and for her charity work, Good Housekeeping Magazine presented Tami with the 2016 Awesome Women Award as well as a nomination for Philanthropist of the Year by the Los Angeles Business Journal.
LIFE CHANGE WARRIORS

The Life Change Warriors program is committed to helping participants change their life through self-discovery, thoughtful planning, and active support. The program consists of workshops taught by experienced life coaches that mentor, support, and positively change the mindset of their members.
The journey will guide participants to find the best way to change their life by opening their mind and heart while the skilled and experienced coaches open the doors.
From coaching homeless pregnant women to helping underprivileged youth tap into their creativity, Life Change Warriors builds tangible positive outcomes for their graduates. When participants learn to open up and realize that change is possible, their life could transform into something they've always dreamed of.
TAMI IN CHAT WITH MINIANCA
On February 23rd, Annabelle met Tami in her beautiful home in Marina del Rey, CA.
THE PATH THAT LED TAMI TO FOUND LIFE CHANGE WARRIORS.
MiNiAnCa: "Tami, please share with us what led you to founding Life Change Warriors and why is this a cause dear to your heart?"
Tami: "The desire to create Life Change Warriors has been with me for over 15 years.
In 2000, I was diagnosed with MS and it required me to do a lot of work on myself, on my goals and my perspective on life.
This was when I noticed that there was a variety of great tools that I could use to support me.
At the same time, it made me wonder how many other people are also struggling but do not have access to helpful tools like these. So that was probably my biggest motivator in the first place to start writing down the systems and approaches that helped me.
Then fast forward to four years ago, I had a huge change in my life and I was at a low. I was searching for all more ways to help me get through my difficult time while simultaneously support me in creating the life that I wanted.
It was during this time that I realized that it absolutely was in my power to create this life for me. And that in order to do so, I would need to center and believe in myself.
After I did a lot of soul-searching and self-work, the name “Life Change Warriors” literally came to me in my sleep. And it hit home! I knew that I was a Life Change Warrior and that I wanted to help other people change their lives.
It is important to remind ourselves that we are all one. And we are all here for a reason. When things come to you and feelings align inside of you, and you start listening to the reasons and start acting in that way, it will totally blossom and that is what it has done for me.
And then two years ago, one of my best friends who owns a coaching practice, myself and another coach friend of mine, we put together the Life Change Warrior."
LIFE CHANGE WARRIORS IS MAKING A DIFFERENCE.
MiNiAnCa: "How is Life Change Warriors making a difference?"
Tami: "Life Change Warriors is a 16 hour class over the course of a six-week program that helps homeless and disadvantaged participants map out brighter, more stable futures. We support those who do not have the financial or other means to go out and get those tools on their own.
During class, the coaches assist the students in a guided exploration of their troubled past and together, they identify challenges and fears, as well as opportunities, and address them.
In this safe environment, the students define their definition of a life they want to star in and set their individual goals. And while a goal without a plan is just a wish, the coaches give them the tools needed to create a step by step plan to get closer to this life they deserve.
Upon graduation, the graduates receive a sponsored gift which is usually an item/tool that is essential for them to get closer to achieve their biggest dream. For example, for our children at Venice Arts, this could be a camera.
Forty participants have graduated from four sessions. And a 5th is currently in session as we speak. Also, Life Change Warriors continues to be a support network to the students long after they graduate.”
LIFE CHANGE WARRIORS WILL CONTINUE TO GROW ITS IMPACT ON OUR COMMUNITY.
MiNiAnCa: "Tami, what is your wish for the future of Life Change Warriors and its impact on our world?"
Tami: "A recently launched initiative is to take the program to a local private school to teach the senior class the tools but also to train them on how to teach them to others. So eventually, the senior classes could go and teach the tools to the freshman classes and that will truly create empowerment throughout this school.
We also would like to get the program out to the world and into the hands of as many people as possible so we are always training new trainers.
In addition, we will start looking for a person - a program director - who is capable to carry this program through, move it forward and take it out into the world."
